#86 From sickness to dance: Discovering movement is medicine with Emma Marshall

Emma aka Emma The Alchemist is a Teacher, Dancer and the Creator of Movement is Medicine. Movement is Medicine uses dance, music and somatic meditation designed to create connection and release of stress, trauma and emotions, whilst teaching people nervous system regulation tools to use in their everyday life.

In this episode we talk about how Emma’s body broke down to the point she couldn’t walk, and how she had to find alternative ways of healing herself, which led her to discovering how to use dance and music as medicine.

We talk about why we should all dance to one song every day, how to reconnect with your physical body and move through trauma, how to feel freedom, and how to connect with your emotions but not be ruled by them.
